The DLC however, seems to offer more side roads than the original game as well as more things to ‘solve’. In the original game there were of course some puzzles to solve, switches to find and so on. This is where the game feels a bit different, because of the addition of “puzzles”. A lot of the enemies are easily disposed of when you get back in to your vibe but this times enemies are not the only obstacle. If you have leveled enough during the course of the original Dark Souls II storyline you’ll notice that the beginning of the DLC does not start off being too difficult. This DLC will take you to familiar grounds, when it comes to the overall gameplay but certain items might seem a bit different. The Crown of the Sunken King DLC will present you with the first of the trilogy of DLC items to come. Those who finished the game but still wish for more content can now rejoice. That being said, you’ll be treated to an impressive dragon right at the beginning, perhaps this might heat things up later? The flow might end up being bloody instead of watery though. Enjoy the environments in which you’re thrown without any prior knowledge and go with the flow. A vague storyline will light your path but you’re pretty much on your own. Story wise the DLC offers pretty much the same as the original game. You’ll be able to fight for your humanity once again or perhaps you’ll become one of the trapped souls in this forgotten realm. Dark Souls II is back to have you crawl through the depths in the Crown of the Sunken King DLC.
